The Final Summit

Can David Ponder save humanity?  The question he must answer is "What does humanity need to do, individually and collectively, to restore itself to the pathway toward successful civilization?"  The Archangel, Gabriel, takes him from his office to a place that the final summit will occur.  With the help of other Time Travelers, David must find the correct answer to this pondering question.  Can he and the summit answer the question before time runs out or is humanity lost all its chances to continue on.

Take some historical facts, add a little storytelling, and you've got The Final Summit.  I will say, I enjoyed the book as a work of fiction.  It wasn't the best thing I've read, but good none the less.  Andy Andrews, made me want to finish the book to see how David preformed during the Summit.  He took me into David's life like a good book can and should do.

I can say I would recommend this book to friends and family as a fiction piece of work.  I am interested to read the books prior to The Final Summit in David Ponder's story.  The book is not based word for word on biblical teachings, but reminds the reader that God is in control ultimately.

The Convenient Groom

It's the day of her wedding, and by all accounts Dr Kate Lawrence has it all!  She is releasing her book and getting married to her Mr. Right, or so she thought.  Five hours before they are supposed to say I do her groom to be calls off the wedding.  Kate is left with no groom and a book all about finding love and making it all work.  She was so careful, planned everything, how can this happen to her and what is a girl to do?

In comes her saving grace, Lucas Wright.  He offers to be her groom and marry her that day and in under five hours.  She knows this isn't the way love is supposed to be or is it?  Could he be the one she could love?  No, that's crazy!  But, isn't love sometimes a crazy thing?

This book is written by Denise Hunter and is part of the Nantucket Love Story collection.  It's well written and pleasure to read.  It immediately draws the reader in to Kate Lawrence's life and how desperate she must feel.  I mean everything is on the line, not only her heart and life, but her reputation and career as well.  The reader wants to know how everything will work out for her.  I will say the ending was kind of predictable, but I still was moved to tears while reading it.  I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good Christian love story.  Actually, I've already recommended it to my Mom and sister!
