I guess I'm a Working Mom now

In some ways I'm sad to be leaving the kids at night and in other ways, I'm thankful for the break. I've been working almost a week now and it's pretty easy from my standpoint. This week I only work two days, but I closed 2 nights last week. I forgot how much work goes into closing a retail store, but I lived with only being a little tired. So anyway, we are doing good.

We had company this weekend and it was nice. Sunday Robert cooked Mexican and it was so yummy! I love when he takes the time and cooks like that, so thanks honey for the yummy dinner! And we just spent the evening watching football. Both our teams won this week so it was a good football week in this house!

Well, the cleaning is calling so I should answer...

It's official......

I have a job. I start work for Target on Tuesday with orientation. While I know this is great, I have to admit as it gets closer, I'm getting nervous. We were just talking the other day and it's been 5 years since I worked a regular job! I know I'm capable, but it's seems like starting all over again. I know it will be good for me, but it's still going to be nerve wracking.

So anyway, we decided to take the kids to the zoo since it might be our last family weekend for a while. It was a really good trip, and then to make it even better, Robert and I got a night out without the kids. They went to daycare for the evening and we got to go out just the two of us. That's pretty rare since we don't have a babysitter, but it's great when we get to.

I have to give him credit...he was a great sport. I drug him to Michael's to look for scrap booking stuff. Then to Walmat to get the kids a treat. Then we went to dinner at a place called Rib Crib. I wish I had had more room for food. It was really good. We ended up bringing about half of our dinner home because we just couldn't finish it, but I know we will have to go back because I want to try their desert. Anyway, after that we went to Best Buy, Toys R Us, and Target before we picked the kids up.

Once we got them it was a different story. They didn't want to go home!!! They still wanted to stay up and play and it was after 9:30pm!! We finally got them to leave by bribing them with their surprise. So we made it home and got everyone to bed around 10:15pm.

All in all, a GREAT Saturday. Today we just went to church and came home and cleaned the house. I wanted it pretty clean so when I go back to work it won't be that big a deal, plus we are expecting company this weekend.

So, it's the end of the weekend, and really it's been GREAT!!!

Job interview

So, I have a job interview today. I've been out of work since before the boys were born so this is nerve wracking. It's today at 1:30. I really hope it goes well because we could really use the money. Please think positive thoughts for me today. Hopefully I'll come back with good news.
