Back to school

And apparently we are far enough in the year, for the first fundraiser. I can't believe it's time to start that again, but if anyone is interested in looking at or purchasing from Michael, he is doing a fundraiser. I have an online id and such for him so you can do it online and it will be shipped directly to you. They have a lot of neat things and we are trying to sell at least 12 items, so if you can help us out, GREAT! Anyway, the good think is at least with this one, only Michael is doing it...Patrick's class isn't so at least I only have to sell for 1. Anyway, let me know if you want the info and I'll send it your way.

Family!

As I'm sure most poeple who read this know, I'm very close to my family. Well, they came to visit this weekend! It was a wonderful weekend, but over way to fast for me. I always wish we had just one more day, and this visit was no exception. We really only spent sleeping time at home, so it was a busy weekend.

Thursday they got in before the boys got home from school. We picked the boys up and they were so excitied! They ran right past me and to my Mom and sister, Christina, who came with me to get them. We stayed home that night and just spent the time catching up and enjoying the company.

Friday, we went shopping in the morning, until the boys had to go to school. When we picked them up, we went to a place called Incredible Pizza. It's a lot like Chuck E Cheese, just bigger and has more for older people, like Go Karts, Bowling, and things like that. The kids really enjoy it and so do we. We ate dinner and played before I had to go set up for for a function that I was going to on Saturday. Here are a few pictures from Friday night...

Then Saturday came and during the day, I went to my function and they all went out to Frontier City. I was able to join them around 4:30pm for the evening fun. The day consisted of lots of rides and a concert by Phil Vassar. Again, lots of fun was had by all. And of course here are some pictures.....

The funny thing with the previous picture is that Patrick hated this ride last time we went, and now he loves it and doesn't want to stop riding it, LOL.

And now for some pictures form the concert.

Then on Saturday, we went to White Water Bay. It was a fun day, but we didn't get any pictures becasue we were worried about the cameras out there with all the water. But, then it was time for them to leave to go back to Kansas City. But, before that, my sisters and I wanted to get some pictures of the three of us. Which one do you like best?

So, that's my weekend. I loved every minute and I hope to see my family again soon.

********Side note: I didn't spell check because if I do that with pictures embeded, it will mess up all the pictures and it takes too long to fix.**********

It's hectic

It's hectic around here...lots going on, but it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon, LOL. The boys went back to school and they are doing great! Michael started speech therapy again, PWOC is getting ready to start again on Tuesday, I have family coming in tomorrow, I've started dieting, I've applied for a job, and the boys are going to start soccer. Oh, and I'm going to teach Sunday school this year! It's going to make for an interesting year, but I'm sure it will all work out.

My diet is going really well, and if anyone is interested, I added a new private blog. You have to be on the list to read so if your interested let me know.

I will have new pictures to post after this weekend because me family will be here, so I will update hopefully on Monday with all our new fun happening....until then.

Summer Vacation...part 3

I'm hoping I can finish our summer vacation posts in this post. There are really only two more major events to talk about. Robert and I took two trips this summer without the kids! We left them at Grandma and Grandpa's house and went back to Tucson for a friend's wedding and then took a trip to Vegas! It was so nice to have time to remember why we love each other and have some time away. The wedding was the last weekend in June, and I only have one picture of Robert and I from that. This was taken before we left for the ceremony.

The nice thing was the wedding was for one of our friends from high school and it was kind of like a mini reunion for me. I saw a lot of people that I haven't seen since high school and it was nice to catch up.

We got back into Kansas City, just in time to spend the 4th of July with my family. The sad thing is I don't have any of the pictures from the 4th. They were all taken with my Mom's camera and I still have to get them from her, but I can tell you it was FUN!

Then we took the kids and my sister back here to Oklahoma for a few days and then sent the kids back to my parent's for about another month. It was very interesting to be without them for so long, but I think we all had a good time.

When we went back to my family it was time for us to fly out to Vegas. We did go one day early to spend a day with the kids before we took off, but other than that we went straight to Vegas.

Vegas was a BLAST!!! We spent just over a week there and still didn't see everything, but were definitely ready to come home. It's one of those places that I couldn't stand for too long. So I guess pictures would be great. Here are a few, jsut so you know...I have well over 100 pictures from our trip, so this is only a select few, or it would take me forver to finish.

This is Lake Mead on our way to Hoover Dam.

And at night,

This is Excalibur, we stayed here our last night in Vegas. Robert and I also went and saw the Tornament of Kings show here one of the nights we were there. It was fun.

And of course that night we had good company.

The last day we spent doing a lot of sightseeing. This is the new dolphin calf they had in June at the Mirage. Isn't he cute?!

And just before we headed out to the Airport, we went to see the Stratosphere. Here's one picture I got of that.

So, that's our summer vacation. I hope to be a little more regular with posting now that school is back in session.

Summer Part 2...family trip

So now that the boys are back in school, I have time to sit and blog. So, back to summer vacation part 2...we took a family vacation to Tucson to see family and for my sister in laws high school graduation. It was a good time had by all. We went to her graduation, saw high school friends, and just had some family fun. Can you believe we went to Arizona in the summer and didn't go swimming at all!!

Anyway, we arrived in Tucson on the 23rd and then stayed about 2 weeks. We went to Desiree's graduation, which all the kids sat through without too many problems. Had a good time with the in-laws. Here are some pictures from Desiree's graduation, I didn't get too many because it was hard to see.

This is Kaitlyn after the ceremony waiting to see her Aunt Desiree, with her Grandma, Robert's Mom.

And one more, Robert with his sister, Desiree.

It didn't turn out the greatest, but you get the point.

While we were there we also got to go to Sabino Canyon. That's one we will have to do again once the kids are older. They need to be able to hike to get the full benefit, and we need to go when it isn't quite so HOT.

This is me and the kids at one of the trams stops on the tour.

And some pictures of what we saw.

And then since we love zoos, we did both the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and the Reid Park Zoo. The kids love them both and it was a fun time for all. And they got to see a baby mountain goat. He was really cute! Here are a few pictures of the Desert Museum.

The Desert Museum has an AWESOME hummingbird exhibit that I love and this is what Robert was able to catch.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
You might not be able to see it real well, but enlarged you can see the hummingbird. Last year when we were there, they had a new nest with babies just born. We got some good pictures of that too...I might have to go back and try and find those and post them in another post. Anyway, more pictures...

And finally the Reid Park zoo, although it's small the kids still have a blast. This is by far their favorite animal...they will talk about these until we go back to see them again, LOL.

That's right Polar Bears. The boys could stand and what them for hours!

A close second is the opportunity to actually hand feed a Giraffe. Here are a few pictures of that.
